I've had my PC for about ten years, built it back in college, and it was a beast back then, running games like Witcher 3 smoothly. However, it's really struggling now, especially with newer titles. I've recently upgraded the graphics card, but games like Oblivion Remastered are still crashing constantly. I feel like I might need a completely new setup since the motherboard seems outdated. Here's my current setup:
- Intel Core i7-4790K
- Cooler Master V8 GTS CPU Cooler
- Asus MAXIMUS VII HERO Motherboard
- G.Skill Ripjaws X 16 GB DDR3 RAM
- Samsung 850 Evo 500 GB SSD
- Hitachi 3 TB Internal HDD
- EVGA GeForce GTX 970 and Gigabyte RTX 3060
- Corsair CX750M Power Supply
I think I need a new motherboard, CPU, and RAM, plus a fresh Windows install. Am I missing anything? What do you guys recommend?
