I've searched through countless threads and yet I'm still left without a clear answer. My question is simple: what's the best wireless headset I can get for FPS gaming on PC, specifically for games like Valorant, CSGO, and Siege? I'm open to any budget, but I really need a headset that excels in audio quality, particularly in sound imaging to help pinpoint footsteps and other important audio cues. The mic quality also needs to be decent, but comfort isn't a concern for me. I've noticed several headsets being recommended, including the Astro A50, Arctis Nova Pro, Audeze Maxwell, Razer Blackshark V2 Pro, and Blackshark V3 Pro. I'm looking for insights on which of these (or any others you might suggest) would be the best for delivering top-notch audio. I don't want to deal with amplifiers, so it needs to be plug and play. I'm okay with tweaking the EQ as long as I can do it through built-in software.

If audio is your main concern, you might want to reconsider going wireless. Wired options generally deliver better quality. For example, high-end audiophile brands often outperform conventional gaming headsets in sound clarity and spatial awareness. I personally use HIFIMAN Stealth Arya, which is fantastic, though a bit pricey. If you're looking for something less expensive, the Sennheiser Momentum 4 is a decent option too, just don't expect the same audio fidelity as open-back models.
Honestly, there's really no universal "best" headset. It all depends on personal preference and specific features you're after. The only way to know for sure is to try a few out yourself. But from what you mentioned, if you're all about audio quality, one of those top contenders should work really well for you!
Have you thought about in-ear monitors (IEMs)? They can give you some amazing audio quality and sound imaging, which might be better than traditional headsets for your gaming needs. Plus, they’re portable and come in a variety of price ranges!
If they really provide that much better quality, I’m definitely open to suggestions. What brands are you thinking of?
That's what I was trying to highlight. If you’re focused only on audio, comfort and other features should be second priority for you.
