Hey everyone! I'm curious about the coil whine performance for the RTX 5090 when paired with the Corsair RM1000x power supply. I'm specifically looking at the Gigabyte 5090 Waterforce (AIO) because I've heard that Gigabyte cards generally exhibit less coil whine. I would really appreciate any experiences or advice from those who have this setup. Thanks a lot for your help!

You might be surprised, but your home’s electrical setup can also influence coil whine. A friend of mine had his card whining at his place, but it was completely quiet at mine. It's weird how that works!
It's not all that random if you ask me. While it can vary, some power supply and graphics card combos do indeed produce less or more whine. For example, when I used my 4090 Suprim Liquid X with a Seasonic GX1200, it was almost silent. But switching to the RM1000x led to a noticeable increase in the whine. Just my two cents!
Honestly, there's no clear answer because coil whine seems pretty random across different setups. The complaints you see are often based on how many cards of a specific model are out there. So, it really varies from one person to another.
