Hey everyone! I'm curious about the current state of the job market in the UK for Azure cloud engineers. I've been working in the public sector for about a year now, making between £40-45K. Recently, I've been wondering if I'm underpaid and what's next for my career, especially since I have additional IT experience in security and a relevant degree. I'm currently studying for the AZ-104 and AZ-500 certifications. Many people keep saying that cloud jobs are in high demand, but on the flip side, I hear complaints about how tough the job market is in tech right now. So, I'm a bit confused! Also, with my experience in public sector jobs, will that really help me going forward or should I be looking for other options? Appreciate any insights!

The job market's a bit rough right now. I'm hiring for a senior DevOps position, and the candidates I've spoken to have mentioned that they're finding it really difficult out there. It's a new role, so I have no benchmarks myself, but I can see the struggle is real.
Honestly, you might be missing out by sticking with the public sector. Switching to private companies can lead to significantly higher salaries and perks like shares and bonuses. Just keep in mind that higher pay often comes with higher expectations too. It can be stressful, but it may be worth it!
How do I apply for that role?
