What’s the Deal with AM4 and X3D CPU Shortages?

Hey everyone! My first PC build from 2014 just got a bit of a GPU and RAM upgrade during COVID. But now, I'm realizing how limited my setup feels, especially the CPU part, without Windows 11. I had my reliable GTX 1060 for 7 years and a Ryzen 5 1600x for a decade, so I'm looking to update without going all out. I'm aiming for around 55-60 FPS on GTA Enhanced at medium-high settings, but it's getting tight!

I'm planning to stick with AM4 and only switch out my motherboard and CPU since I already have an MSI MAG Tomahawk Wifi B350. However, I can't seem to find any X3D CPUs available. What are my options? I'd prefer to avoid transitioning to AM5 right now. Any recommendations for good alternatives that won't break the bank? For context, here's my current setup:
- Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix B350-F Gaming
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600X
- GPU: RTX 3080 Aorus Master
- RAM: 32GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro (2x16 GB) 3600MHz
- Power: Corsair RM850x
- Storage: 2x SSD SATA + 1x HDD
- Case: Fractal Design Meshify 2 Clear

Also, just a heads up: I'm located in France/Switzerland, so the pricing and stock situation might be pretty different here.

You might want to look into getting a 5700X or 5800XT for a solid upgrade. Sure, X3D chips are better, but good luck finding them at a reasonable price these days!

Is the 5800XT a decent boost from an i7-11700KF?
