Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience during my internship at Amazon and get your thoughts. Typically, managers communicate whether interns receive an "incline" or "not incline" by the end of the internship. My manager mentioned that they couldn't make a decision during the last week because the senior manager was busy handling escalations. He promised to get back to me within a week, but here we are on Friday with no update. What confuses me is that I never received any negative feedback throughout my internship. In fact, during my final meeting, my manager said I exceeded expectations, praised my skills, and only pointed out a couple of minor areas for growth. Plus, my project was successful and well received. So I'm left wondering why there's been no communication, especially given the positive feedback. Is this kind of delay common? Has anyone else experienced something similar?

I’m in a similar boat! It’s been two weeks since my internship ended, and I was told I’d get a decision confirmation in about ten days. I sent an email to the interns program for an update because the waiting is really stressful. I feel your pain!
I get your frustration. True, the final decision usually rests with the senior manager, but your manager should have at least communicated something by now. Sometimes things get lost in the shuffle. Don't stress too much about it, though! It might just be a case of your manager being overwhelmed and not handling the evaluation process correctly. They often have a lot on their plates!
Yeah, I tried asking my manager too, but he just reiterated the same positive feedback without giving me a solid answer. It’s tough not getting clarity, especially when you’ve put in the effort!
Exactly! My manager was also on personal time off, and I had to wait two weeks for my evaluation, but I ended up getting an incline. Just hang in there!
