What’s the Ideal Intake/Exhaust Fan Ratio for My New PC Build?

I'm building a new PC using the Montech XR case, which comes with two reverse intake fans and one exhaust fan. I'm planning to add the Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 360 ARGB cooler on top, and I'd like to set those fans to intake. This setup would give me five intake fans and only one exhaust fan. Is this a good configuration? How can I adjust the ratio without changing my case or cooler?

Typically, front and bottom fans are set to intake, while rear and top fans are exhaust. You want your numbers of intake and exhaust to be pretty close. Don't stress too much over this; as long as your temperatures are good, that's what really matters! Adjust fan curves if needed.

A 5:1 intake to exhaust is actually not that bad! This configuration can create positive air pressure inside the case, which helps keep dust from collecting in the components. This setup should work well, even if I usually prefer a 2:1 ratio of intake to exhaust.

Just switch your AIO fans to exhaust and make one of the case exhaust fans an intake. This way, you'd be at a balanced 3:3 ratio. It’s good to have your exhaust fans running at a lower RPM than the intake fans for positive pressure in the case.

Most setups have the AIO fans mounted to exhaust air, any particular reason you're thinking of using them to intake?
