I'm looking to set up a budget-friendly gaming system for my living room. I already have a powerful main PC with a 7800x3d and a 7900xtx for demanding games, but I'm searching for a more casual setup to play single-player, co-op, and emulation games on my 4K 120hz TV. The target is to hit at least 60 fps, so I'd love to hear some suggestions from you all!

You might want to consider a PS5 or Xbox Series X. They can provide a great gaming experience. Just keep in mind that achieving 100 fps might be tough; you’re more likely to hit around 60 fps with lower graphics settings.

Just as a side note, if you connect your main PC to your TV with a longer HDMI cable and have a wireless keyboard in the living room, that could also work well! I set mine up that way for casual gaming.

Have you thought about gaming through Steam Home Streaming? If you have your main rig powered on, just install Steam on a tablet or a cheap laptop in your living room. As long as it's on the same network, you can access your games seamlessly without buying extra hardware.

What’s your budget for this build? That'll definitely help narrow down options. If you're aiming for a budget of around $1000 to $1200, it might be tough to find a good GPU and RAM these days.

For something simple, you could use a mini PC or even an old tablet connected to your TV and use Steam Link. It's inexpensive and works pretty well.
