I've been having an issue with my Gmail app for the past few days; it hasn't fixed itself. I can't upload a photo to show you what's going on, but I have a link to an Imgur image showing the problem: https://imgur.com/a/rD7ZXc1. I get notifications saying 'You have a new message', but I can't access Gmail, either by tapping the notification or directly through the app. The app works fine on my computer, so it seems to only be a problem on my iPhone 12 Pro running iOS 17.2.1.

That’s definitely not the usual look for the Gmail app. Are you sure you downloaded it from the official app store? Just to be safe, try uninstalling it, reinstalling from the app store, and consider changing your Google account password just to rule out any security issues.
It looks like the wireframe outline you’re seeing is just a placeholder that happens when the app's icon assets are not loading correctly. Here are a few things you can try to fix it:
1. Restart your phone.
2. Delete and reinstall the Gmail app.
3. Reset your home screen layout.
4. Check if there are any iOS updates available! Good luck!
