I'm looking to build a new PC even though I know that current RAM prices are pretty high. I want to upgrade some components and would love to hear your thoughts on my choices. Here's what I currently have and what I'm thinking of changing:
- Upgrading from a Ryzen 5 5600 to a Ryzen 7 7800x3d
- Switching from Gigabyte B550 Gaming XV2 to Gigabyte B650M Aorus Elite
- Changing my RAM from G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB 3600MHz CL16 to Corsair Vengeance 5200MHz CL40 (I've already bought this for 280 euros)
- I also have an RTX 5070 Ti
- Changing my power supply from Cooler Master MWE Bronze V2 650W 80 Plus Bronze to MONTECH Century 850W II 80 Plus Gold
- My case is a Deepcool Matrexx 55
- For cooling, I have a Be Quiet Dark Rock 4
- SSD: Samsung 970 EVO 1TB and Kingston 500GB SSDs.
What do you think about this upgrade plan?

Honestly, the 5070 Ti and the 7800x3d are great picks! Just make sure you don't skimp on the RAM speed, or you'll risk limiting the performance of your CPU. And returning that overpriced memory sounds like a smart move!
Wow, 280 euros for 5200MHz CL40? That seems steep! Just so you know, the 7800x3d really benefits from faster RAM, ideally around 6000MHz, otherwise, you could bottleneck its performance. Definitely consider looking for better options, especially since RAM prices can vary widely depending on where you are.
Make sure that your power supply is indeed 850W, that’s a solid choice for your build. And just to confirm, what's your cooler?

Oh, I forgot to mention, I'm using the Be Quiet Dark Rock 4!
