Hey everyone! I'm building my first PC soon and I'm a little torn about when to buy my components. I can complete the build in June since that's when I'll have all the money saved up. I'm curious if I should wait until then to purchase everything all at once or if I should start buying some parts now as I come across them. I've already selected all my components and I'm pretty sure I won't want to change anything, especially since June isn't too far away and I've noticed some sales happening. However, I'm concerned about the possibility of receiving anything DOA (dead on arrival)—my GPU is the last item I planned to buy in June, so I'm not too worried about that. I'd love to get your opinions on whether I should just start with the case, fans, or other parts in the meantime. Thanks for any advice!

A lot of people recommend not to buy parts over time if you can help it. You never know what could happen with a component, like receiving a dead one—I once got a 14TB hard drive that was DOA! Plus, prices these days are all over the place, and hunting down good deals takes a lot of time. If you're gaming or just doing basic tasks, sometimes a prebuilt option could actually save you money. But, if you really want to go the DIY route, make sure you're buying at the right time!
