I'm looking for help in finding a replacement part for my second-hand Haier M6FA185-HL 18.5" LED Monitor. The charger or cable got damaged, and I'm not sure if it was due to overheating or a power surge. My issue is that I can't find the correct replacement part. The monitor was bought a few years ago, and the charger that came with it isn't the original, but it worked fine until now. It's a unique adapter with a voltage selector, and the connector to the monitor has a removable end, which I think is meant for different ports. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find the right part?

It sounds like you need to look for a power adapter rather than a charger; monitors generally use adapters. From what you mentioned, it seems like your adapter is a variable voltage type, so make sure to check the wattage listed on the adapter. You need to match both the voltage and the wattage. The voltage is crucial—adapters can differ slightly (like 18v or 19v), but if they’re within a volt, that should be fine. The amperage should be at least what your monitor needs—better to get close to what's specified. Try posting a picture of the info panel on your current adapter; that might help others give you better advice!
The monitor says it requires 12V and 2A, so you’re correct. Unfortunately, I can't see images here, but that info helps narrow it down. Just make sure the new adapter fits the monitor’s socket!
