Hey everyone! I'm on the lookout for a new CPU to pair with my RTX 5060 since my i7 7700K is bottlenecking my performance. I'm aiming for an AM4 socket, but I've noticed that the AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D is being sold used at outrageous prices—some listings are going for over $1000! That's way outside my budget, especially since its MSRP is around $250. I'm hoping to find a place where I can buy a refurbished or used CPU for no more than $300. Any suggestions or leads would be greatly appreciated!

Just a reminder that you'll also need to factor in the cost of a new motherboard if you switch CPUs.
If you're sticking with AM4 to use your RAM, just a heads up: you probably won't find an AM4 X3D chip at a good price. I suggest going for an R5 5600X instead. It's about $130 on eBay, which leaves you with extra cash to save for the future.
Your best bet is to check platforms like eBay or specific hardware swap sites. Just be prepared to spend somewhere around $300-325, because finding a 5700X3D at MSRP from a reseller is pretty much impossible.
I spent a few days searching for deals lately and saw the prices climbing! I ended up deciding to spend a bit more and upgrade to AM5 instead of risking it with a used CPU. I had the budget for it, but I totally get how tough this choice must be for you.
