Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my setup with a 1440p monitor that can handle 240Hz, specifically for playing CS2 and other AAA games. I've been eyeing the Alienware AW2723DF, but I'm not sure if the price tag is justified when there are so many alternatives out there. My budget is around £200–£300, and I'm hoping to find out if the Alienware is worth the extra cash or if there's a better value option available. Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I’m not specifically recommending a model, but I have to say, 1440p in CS2 is just amazing! It makes aiming so much easier. I did see the Gigabyte M27Q-X for around €230; it's native 240Hz 1440p, which sounds like a solid choice!
I’d recommend the MSI G2741PX; it works well with my RTX 5070 Ti. Just be aware that at 240Hz with the current drivers, you might encounter some screen flickering. Until that's addressed, you might want to stick to 180Hz for now. Have a look at that one!
Skip the Alienware. The KTC 27 Inch QHD is a great deal right now on Amazon, and you won’t regret it! Definitely worth checking out.
Seriously, don’t overspend! The Alienware has a hefty brand tax at over $450. There are plenty of monitors like Acer and AOC that offer the same specs for about $200-300. Unless you really need an OLED panel for design work or better color, I'd say go for something with better value in that range!
Honestly, if you can swing it, get two monitors! I picked up two 4K ones for about £420, and the upgrade from 1080p was immense. It's totally worth it if your setup allows for it!
I totally agree! You don’t need to break the bank for something that performs well. Plus, a simpler design often looks cleaner!
