I'm considering upgrading my CPU cooler and I'm trying to decide between the Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 and the Arctic Liquid Freezer III 240 for my AMD Ryzen 5 9600X. Would one perform significantly better than the other? I'm leaning towards the Arctic simply because I find it more aesthetically pleasing. Any advice would be appreciated!

I’ve got a 9800X3D and I’ve been using something similar to the Thermalright with great results. Keeping good airflow in your case is key, but both of these coolers should handle the job without any issues.
Both coolers should work perfectly fine. The Phantom Spirit might give you a bit of longevity since it has fewer moving parts compared to the AIO. Just keep in mind that with the liquid cooler, you have to consider the pump and other components as potential points of failure. But if aesthetics matter to you, the Arctic looks really nice!
Honestly, both coolers are more than adequate for the 9600X. The CPU isn't demanding enough for them to really struggle, so it mostly comes down to personal preference. If you dig the look of the Arctic, go for it!
Yeah, I agree! Both options will keep the temps down easily.
Exactly! It’s all about how it fits into your setup.
