I'm trying to decide between getting the 5070Ti paired with an i9 14900K, or going for a 9800x3D with an Rx 9070 XT. I've heard a lot of negative things about the latest Intel processors, and it's made me a bit hesitant. Does anyone have thoughts or advice on which combo would be best?

If you don't have a strong reason to go with Intel, like needing it for productivity, I’d suggest the 9800x3D. It's awesome for gaming and generally has great thermal performance. Plus, it consumes way less power than the 14900K. You can pair it with either GPU too!
In my opinion, the AM5 platform is fantastic. You've got tons of options with really low thermal design power (TDP) - I even have a 12-core that only uses 65W! It's a solid choice for gaming.
Personally, I’d choose the 9800x3D with the 5070Ti. I think that's the best performance combo you can get from those options!
Yeah, but you might face a slight bottlenecking issue with that combo.
What exactly are you hearing about the bad stuff regarding the new Intel CPUs? I mean, you're considering the 14900K which has its own issues with degradation, unlike the new Arrow Lake CPUs. If you can swing it, look at getting a 265k with a 5070Ti – you’ll get solid performance without worrying too much!
I think I'm just going to ignore that comment.
I'd definitely go with the AMD platform, especially AM5 if it’s available. The newer Intel 'K' CPUs have been known to have stability issues. I’m using an i5-13400F and it’s been great, but your mileage may vary with the 14900K series. For the graphics card, I'd recommend the 9070XT as I have the 9060XT and it’s performed really well. AMD offers great performance to price ratio!

Alright thanks! Sounds like I’m leaning towards the 9070 as well. Don't want to risk any bottlenecking.
