Hey everyone! I'm building a new gaming setup and need some advice. I've got a 4K 240Hz PG27UCDM monitor and I'm pairing it with an RTX 5090 graphics card. I'm trying to decide between the Ryzen 9800X3D, 9950X3D, and the Core Ultra 285K for gaming at 4K (2160p). Price doesn't matter to me, and I'm not focusing on performance at lower resolutions. However, I'm having trouble finding benchmarks for 4K since most of them are at 1080p or 1440p. Any insights on which CPU would provide the best FPS in my setup? Thanks!

If your main goal is gaming, I'd recommend the 9800X3D. It tends to be a top choice for that purpose. Even though you're seeing benchmarks mostly for lower resolutions, you can usually extrapolate from those results. A CPU that excels at 1080p doesn't necessarily underperform at 4K, it'll just be less critical because of your powerful GPU.
I get what you're saying. But if the 9950X3D offers even slightly better performance or has future-proofing advantages, I might lean that way. I just want to avoid regrets later about not getting the best option.
