I'm currently considering the 7800X3D and 9800X3D for my build, but I've seen mixed results on power efficiency. Can anyone suggest other CPUs that are power efficient and worth comparing?

Honestly, the 7600X3D is a great choice too and doesn't really offer a significant difference in performance from the 7800. Both the 7600X and 9600X work great for 1440p gaming without breaking the bank!

During gameplay, the 7800X3D runs at the same wattage as the 7600X, which is pretty low for a modern CPU. So, you really can’t get much better than that.
In my opinion, you can't go wrong with the 7800X3D. If you do a lot of idle tasks, Intel may be slightly better, but for gaming, it tops the charts. Plus, the 9600X is a fantastic budget alternative!
I just finished a build with my RX 9070 and went for the 9600X. It's super efficient and about half the price of the 7800X3D, definitely worth considering.
Totally agree! It might be enough for most gamers and saves some cash too.
