I'm looking to upgrade my CPU soon since my current 3600X is struggling with modern games like Arc Raiders. My GPU, a 3070 Ti, only runs at about 50% usage, while my CPU is around 85% during gameplay. Both the 5700X and the 5800X are priced the same in my area, whether they're new or second-hand. I've heard the 5800X is quite powerful, but I'm concerned about its heat output. My budget doesn't allow for the X3D versions. My current setup includes a 3600X, a 3070 Ti, 2x8 GB 3200 MHz CL16 RAM, and I'm using an Arctic Freezer 34 eSports Duo cooler. Any advice?

If they cost the same, definitely go for the 5800X. It handles gaming loads well without excessive heat, especially if you've got a decent cooler. You can even turn on ECO mode through the BIOS to keep its power draw and heat closer to that of the 5700X if you're concerned.
For gaming, you won't notice much difference in performance between the two. If heat and power consumption are a concern for you, I'd suggest going with the 5700X. It runs cooler and is a solid choice if you're worried about overheating.
