I'm trying to decide between the Intel Core i7-9700X and the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D to pair with my 9070XT. I noticed that the 7800X3D is about £80 more expensive. What do you all think?

At 1080p, the 7800X3D is definitely superior. But if you're gaming at 1440p or higher, the CPU differences fade a bit. Still, if you want the best experience, the 7800X3D is likely worth the £80 difference.
For 1440p and non-eSports titles, I would lean towards the 9700X. But if you play more competitive games like Valorant or CS2, the 7800X3D will serve you better. Just consider what monitors you have and what you play the most.
It really depends on what games you're playing. For strategy games, the 9700X might be sufficient, but for everything else, the 7800X3D shines.
I agree, the 7800X3D is a much better choice overall. Just the extra performance you'll get makes it worth it.
For those with a high refresh rate monitor and enjoying racing games or esports, the 7800X3D is the way to go. If not, the 9700X is perfectly fine for regular gaming.
If you're focused on gaming, definitely go with the 7800X3D. Its larger L3 cache gives it a solid edge in performance for most titles.
