I'm upgrading from an R5 7500F and trying to decide between the 7800X3D and the 9800X3D for gaming at low resolutions, mainly competitive FPS titles. My GPU budget is around $290 to $850, potentially considering a 5060 or 5070 Ti, depending on what fits best. Any advice?

Make sure to narrow down your GPU options too. If you’re looking at something like the 5060, don’t stress too much about the 9800X3D—it won’t give a significant advantage over the 7800X3D at that level. Both CPUs are great, but the 7800X3D should handle your needs very well.
Honestly, it really depends on your budget. The 7800X3D is a bit cheaper and only has a minor clock speed difference (just 0.2GHz) compared to the 9800X3D. If your wallet allows, go for the 9800X3D, but the 7800X3D is still fantastic if you want to save some cash.
I’ve got the 7800X3D and it’s doing wonders for me. Perfect for high refresh rates and gives a great performance boost without breaking the bank.

So you're saying the 5060 is a solid choice with the 7800X3D? That's good to know!
