Which CPU Should I Choose for My New Build: i5 14600k or R5 7500F?

I'm in the process of building a new PC and I'm torn between two CPUs: the i5 14600k, which costs 150 euros, and the R5 7500F, priced at 135 euros. There's a significant difference in power consumption, with the i5 at 125W and the R5 at 65W. I don't really care about having an upgrade path, so that's not a factor in my decision. However, I've heard that the i5 has some issues, and I'm unsure what they are. Which one should I go for?

It really depends on what you need the PC for. If it's mainly for gaming or you'll do some engineering work, knowing your GPU choice is also important. What do you plan to use it for primarily?

I'll be using it for both productivity and gaming, mostly light stuff like engineering work. I'm not a hardcore gamer but I want things to run smoothly when I do play. I haven't decided on the GPU yet, but I'm considering an RTX 5060 Ti or something similar that isn't too power-hungry.
