Which CPU Should I Choose for My New PC Build?

I'm new to building PCs and noticed that Amazon has a sale on the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and the Ryzen 9700X. I'm also planning to buy an X670 Tomahawk motherboard on sale. I'm looking for a decent CPU for gaming and other activities, so I could really use some help deciding between these two options!

Definitely go for the 7800X3D! It's currently the second best CPU for gaming, just behind the 9800X3D, which usually costs about $100-120 more.

Thank you, that's helpful!

If the prices are the same, I would strongly recommend the 7800X3D. It performs exceptionally well in games due to its extensive L3 cache, which is super beneficial. The 9700X is newer and might handle non-gaming tasks slightly better, but for gaming, the 7800X3D is still the king!

Without a doubt, the 7800X3D is the top choice right now for gaming. You won't regret it!
