Hey everyone! I'm currently running an older i7-9700K, but it seems like it's not fully utilizing my RX 9070XT. In many cases, I see around 40% GPU usage while my CPU is maxed out at 100%. I'm considering upgrading my CPU and was wondering whether I should go for the i7-12700K or the Ryzen 5 7600X. Are there any other CPUs in a similar price range that would be a better option?

The Ryzen 5 7600X is definitely a better choice! It offers better performance, and the AM5 platform will give you more longevity compared to Intel's current lineup.
I'd recommend looking at the Ryzen 7 5700X3D as well. You can keep your existing RAM and motherboards are still pretty affordable for AM4. Plus, that 3D V-cache really helps with FPS! Just be aware that switching CPUs will also mean getting a new motherboard.
I'm using the 5700X3D (with a different GPU) and it's performing great! Waiting for an AM6 upgrade later.
In my opinion, the 7600X is just a solid buy overall. It's not only powerful but also future-proof. You'll really notice the difference over your current setup!
Totally agree! Plus, you might want to check out sites like AliExpress for deals on processors. You can find alternatives like the 7500F at a decent price.
