Hey everyone! I currently have a Ryzen 5 3600 paired with an RTX 3070 Ti and 16GB of DDR4 RAM. I mostly play Rust at 1080p. I'm considering whether to upgrade to a Ryzen 7 5700X3D or go for the Ryzen 5 7600 paired with 32GB of DDR5 RAM. I'm not worried about the price difference, but I'm curious about the performance difference between the two CPUs. What do you think?

I'd say go for the 5700X3D. It offers comparable performance to the 7600 and won’t require you to buy a new motherboard or RAM, which saves you some hassle.

You might want to consider pricing. The 5700X3D is becoming harder to find and is often sold at inflated prices. The R5 7600 is newer and usually cheaper, plus it performs similarly. If you’re already planning to upgrade to 32GB of RAM, the 7600 might be the better overall deal.

True, the 5700X3D is definitely priced higher right now. But keep in mind, it can sometimes edge out on performance in specific scenarios. Still, if it's too pricey, the 7600 looks like a solid pick, especially with the RAM upgrade you're considering.

Just to clarify, the 5700X3D isn't discontinued, but prices for it have skyrocketed. The 5800X3D, on the other hand, has been discontinued. Something to keep in mind as you decide!

The performance between the 7600 and 5700X3D is pretty similar, with the 7600 actually being a bit faster. If you're looking for a more future-proof option, I'd recommend going for the 7600, especially since it's on a newer platform that will get updates.
