I'm on a tight budget of $200 and I'm trying to decide between the AMD Ryzen 5 7600 and the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X, as they're both priced the same right now. Since I'm a beginner, I'm not too familiar with all the technical terms, so I would really appreciate some guidance. I won't be using the provided cooling fan because I'll have a high-quality AIO cooler. My graphics card will be the RTX 4060, and my motherboard is the ASUS Prime B650-PLUS WiFi ATX. Can anyone help me figure out which CPU will perform better and be compatible with my setup? Thanks!

I've heard some ASROCK boards have had issues with the new 9,000 series CPUs, although they got some fixes with BIOS updates. There are rumors about voltage spikes affecting all boards too, so it might be worth checking up on that before making a choice. If you're looking into Ryzen 9, just remember to do some research beforehand.
If both CPUs are the same price, I'd recommend going with the 9600X since it's a bit faster. Also, since you mentioned you won't need the stock cooler, you might want to save that money for a future GPU upgrade since neither chip runs too hot. You could consider getting a cheap air cooler instead if you want to keep costs down.
Thanks for the advice! I do love the look of my AIO cooler, but maybe I should reconsider it. By the way, what do you think about the 7600X? Are there any other options I should consider within my budget?
Thanks for the heads-up! I appreciate the info. I'll take some time to weigh my options.
