Which CPU Should I Upgrade To: 7600X3D or 9800X3D?

I'm considering upgrading my CPU and need some advice. My current setup includes a 5800X processor paired with a 5070 Ti graphics card and 32GB of DDR5 RAM that I purchased as a bundle with an AM5 motherboard. I primarily game at a resolution of 5120x1440 on a triple-monitor setup, and while most games run smoothly, I've experienced issues with CPU-intensive titles like Escape from Tarkov where CPU and RAM usage hit around 100%, causing lag spikes. I'm debating between the Ryzen 5 7600X3D, which costs about $200, and the more expensive Ryzen 7 9800X3D at around $450. I'm curious whether the 7600X3D will suffice for my setup or if I should invest in the 9800X3D or another CPU considering my gaming needs.

I'd go for the 7600X3D since it's a solid choice for now. You can always upgrade later when Zen 6 drops. It should handle your setup pretty well in the meantime.

I have the 7600X3D with my 9070XT, and it works great for gaming. If you're doing more productivity tasks, though, the 7800X3D could be a better choice for that extra performance. Just my two cents!

Totally agree! I have a similar setup and it's been fantastic. Can't complain about performance at all.
