I'm currently using a Ryzen 1700x with a 1660 Ti and I need to upgrade for Windows 11. Right now, I'm gaming at 1080p with 60fps, but I want to find a good CPU that will help me future-proof for 1440p at 60fps in the next couple of years. Should I go with the Ryzen 3600 for $80, or is the 5800XT at $140 a better choice? I've also considered the 5600 priced at $100. What do you all think?

If you're looking to play at 1440p in the future, I’d recommend the 5800XT. It won't bottleneck if you decide to upgrade your GPU later on, and it’s really powerful for gaming.
So if I stick with 1080p at 144fps, would the 3600 be sufficient for a while? How long do you think it could last?
