Hi everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my CPU from a Ryzen 5 4500 and I'm considering two options: a used Ryzen 5 5600G for $77 or a new Ryzen 5 5500X3D for $184. I'm particularly interested in the extra cache that the X3D offers, especially since I plan on playing games like Cyberpunk, Fortnite, Alan Wake 2, Elden Ring, and Helldivers 2. I want to achieve 1080p gaming at 60fps or even 120fps if possible (though I know Elden Ring is capped at 60fps). For reference, I have an RTX 3060 with 12GB of memory. What should I choose?

The Ryzen 5 5600G is a more budget-friendly option, but it's quite limited in performance compared to the 5500X3D. If you're serious about gaming, especially with the titles you mentioned, the 5500X3D is a fantastic choice. Just double-check that your motherboard can support it!

I'm leaning towards the 5500X3D too. I really want to enjoy 1080p gaming without any hiccups. I think my B450M motherboard will handle it based on what I've read.
