Hey folks! I'm in the process of building a Gaming PC primarily for 2560×1440 resolution on a 27-inch monitor. I want it to reliably run games like Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Starfield, STALKER 2, Oblivion Remastered, and Elden Ring at 60fps or higher on maximum settings. My budget is around €2,500, excluding peripherals. Here are two builds I've considered:

**Build 1:** RTX 5070 Ti + AMD 9800X3D
- A solid 8-core CPU that works great with the 5070 Ti.
- Total cost: €2451.12

**Build 2:** RTX 5080 + AMD 7800X3D
- This setup offers a balanced high-performance combination.
- Total cost: €2635.01

Any recommendations on which build would give me the best gaming experience? I'm open to alternatives too!

The combination of the RTX 5080 and 7800X3D is probably your best bet for a balanced performance at 1440p. The 7800X3D is a fantastic CPU that fits nicely with the 5080 GPU, reducing any risk of bottlenecks in demanding games. For that resolution, more GPU power is often more beneficial than a slightly better CPU.

If you’re going with the 5080, you could consider bumping up to 4K gaming too!

If you can find the RTX 5080 at a better price to match the cost of the first build, I'd lean towards that one. A stronger GPU usually makes a bigger difference, especially at higher resolutions like 1440p. Both setups will perform well over 60fps in most games at max settings, so either choice is going to give you a huge upgrade from your current rig!
