I'm trying to figure out which graphics card would be the best choice for gaming at 1440p. My current setup includes a Ryzen 5 3600 processor, 16GB of RAM, an Aorus B450M motherboard, and a 500W PSU. I've come across the RTX 3060 12GB for about €50 more than the 8GB version and the RX 6600, but the price is pushing my budget. That said, I want to ensure I'm getting the best value for performance. I'll be playing demanding titles like RDR2, Battlefield 6, and GTA 6, so I'd love some advice!

I'd recommend the RTX 3060 12GB. It performs really well at 1440p and will handle the games you mentioned nicely. Your 500W PSU should be sufficient for this setup, but upgrading could be a good idea for future-proofing.

I think you might be aiming too low with these cards. For your needs, look into something like the 5060 Ti with 16GB, or even better options if your budget allows. You’re going to want something stronger for those titles.

What? I’m currently running an RX 580 8GB at 1440p and managing around 45 FPS in RDR2. So, it seems doable!

Honestly, I wouldn't go for an 8GB card at 1440p, especially for demanding games. Even with lower settings, you'll struggle to hit 60fps in GTA 6 down the line. You might want to consider a more powerful GPU.
