Which GPU Should I Buy: 6650 XT or 7600?

I'm looking to buy a GPU but can't decide between the 6650 XT and the 7600. The 6650 XT is cheaper here, but I've heard that 8GB might not be sufficient in a couple of years. Should I wait to buy a 12GB card instead, or is an 8GB card likely to last me another 4 years?

It really depends on your budget and what CPU you have. If you're on a $300 budget with a 5600G, you'll want to make sure your GPU complements it well. If you're okay waiting, saving for something better could pay off in the long run! But if you need something now, the 7600 is solid if you want to avoid used cards.

If I go for used options, what would you recommend?

Just keep in mind that new 9060 XT models might hit the market soon, and prices could fluctuate.

For most games that don't use ray tracing and ultra settings, 8GB should be fine. But if you're planning for longevity, you might want to consider getting a better card since you want it to last longer than a couple of years.

I totally get that! I think longer-lasting tech is definitely worth the investment.

Yeah, it's all about finding a balance between what you need now and what will last!
