Which GPU Should I Buy for 200-300?

I'm trying to decide between a couple of used GPUs within the $200-300 range. I'm considering a used 2080 Ti with 11GB for $210 or a refurbished 3070 Ti with 8GB for $240. My current setup is for 1080p gaming, but I'm looking to move up to 1440p soon. I also need an Nvidia GPU for CUDA support since I'm using it for school (specifically with MATLAB and some basic machine learning). I would appreciate any recommendations for other GPUs or insight on my choices.

You might want to consider a used 3080 for about $300 if you can stretch your budget. If you're planning to upgrade to 1440p, spending a little more on the 3080 could really pay off in the long run. The 3070 Ti is good, but the 8GB of VRAM might hold you back for future-proofing, especially at higher resolutions.

That's a good point, but if your budget is tight, maybe look into upgrading your CPU to a Ryzen 5 5600-5800 and sell your current Ryzen 3600. Then, you could consider the 3070 Ti. Just think about the VRAM if you're really aiming for 1440p.

What do you specifically need CUDA for? Also, how much VRAM do you think you'll need? That could influence your choice a lot.

I need CUDA mainly for using MATLAB and doing some basic machine learning tasks.
