Which GPU Should I Choose: 5060 Ti or 5070?

I'm trying to choose between two GPUs for my setup. I currently have a Ryzen 9 5900x, 32GB of DDR4 2600MHz RAM, and a 4060. I want to ensure a great gaming experience on my 180Hz 1440p monitor, especially with high to max settings. The cards I'm considering are the 5060 Ti, which is priced at $900 NZD with 16GB of VRAM, and the 5070, which costs $1,100 NZD with 12GB of VRAM. Is the extra $200 worth it for the 5070, or will the 5060 Ti suffice?

The 5070 is definitely the better choice here. It's significantly more powerful than the 5060 Ti. Just remember, the amount of VRAM matters less if the GPU itself isn't powerful enough for the tasks at hand. Go for the 5070!

Why limit yourself to just those two cards? Have you thought about checking out the RX 9060XT 16GB or the RX 9070? They might be worth considering for your needs!

I see your point, but I've heard AMD cards can get pretty hot and they tend to be quite large. That’s why I didn’t consider them.
