Which GPU should I choose for gaming at 1440p?

I'm trying to decide between two GPUs for gaming at 1440p, specifically for titles like World of Warcraft and Dead by Daylight. I'm leaning towards the RTX 5060 with 8GB of VRAM, but I'm also considering the Radeon 9060 XT. Both GPUs seem to have comparable performance according to various benchmarks, but I am curious whether the slightly better performance of the Radeon 9060 XT would help prevent frame drops during intense moments in WoW. My current specs include an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, 32GB of 5200MHz RAM, and a B650 Eagle AX ATX motherboard.

Between the RTX 5060 and the Radeon 9060 XT, I'd say the 5060 is generally the stronger option. Both will handle your games just fine, but if you can, go for the 16GB version of whichever you choose for the better performance in heavy scenes!

Just a heads-up, I meant to say I want the 5060 with 8GB, not the 16GB—does that change your advice?

From what I've seen, the 5060 Ti with 16GB performs slightly better than the 9060 XT 16GB, but the price difference can be significant. I’d suggest the 9060 XT if you find it cheaper!
