I'm thinking about upgrading my GPU and have narrowed it down to two options: a 5060ti with 16GB for $430 or a 5070 for $550 (before taxes and shipping). Here's my current setup: I've got an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor, an MSI B450 Tomahawk Max II motherboard, a GTX 1060 with 6GB of VRAM, and 16GB of G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-3600 RAM, along with two SSDs and a Corsair TX650M power supply. Right now, I'm just using 1080p. Given that I think my CPU will bottleneck the performance regardless, I've been leaning towards the cheaper 5060ti to save some cash for other upgrades. I'd like to know if sticking with my current AM4 motherboard is wise for future upgrades, and what would be a good, reasonably priced motherboard in case I want to enhance my CPU later. Any recommendations?

I'd say get the GPU now! Most Nvidia cards with more than 8GB of VRAM are nearing the end of their life cycle, which means prices will probably keep rising. You can upgrade the CPU later when you're ready to spend more.

Does 'end of life status' mean no more updates for those GPUs?
