Which GPU Should I Choose for My New Build?

I'm putting together a custom PC and trying to decide between three graphics cards: a used 4070 for 450 AUD, a used 4070 SUPER for 600 AUD, or a brand new 7800 XT for 800 AUD. Any advice on which one would be the best option? Here are the specs I'm working with: I'm using a Vanta V01 Pro case, MSI B850M Gaming Plus WiFi motherboard, AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU, 32GB of RAM, and a good power supply. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

I think the 4070 SUPER is your best bet for a mix of price and performance. It offers better performance compared to the standard 4070, and while the 7800 XT is great, it's quite a bit pricier. The used 4070 might not hold up as well for future games. With the 4070 SUPER, you'll have a solid card that balances performance and cost.

That makes sense! Is the performance difference between the SUPER and the standard really noticeable?

Don’t forget that prices can vary a lot for used GPUs. Make sure the condition is good on the used ones before making a decision. The 4070 SUPER usually provides good value, but if you find a better deal on a 7800 XT, it could be a no-brainer. Check local listings!

If you can stretch your budget a little, definitely go for the 7800 XT. It's new, which means better longevity and performance in the long run. If you're gaming competitively or plan to keep the setup for a while, it's worth the investment, even if it's more expensive in the short term.

Good point! I see that the 7800 XT has solid reviews, so it might be worth it.
