I'm looking to upgrade my GPU for 1440p gaming. Currently, I have an RTX 2060 and I'm considering a couple of options. Here are the prices I've found for the cards available in Australia:
- RTX 5070 for $1099
- RX 9070 XT for $1200-1400
- RTX 5070 Ti for $1500-1600
I want to know if the RX 9070 XT is worth the additional $100 compared to the RTX 5070 since they are the two cheapest options. I've been using my current setup for about 7-8 years without issues, so I want to make a smart choice this time.

I recently switched to the Powercolor RX 9070 XT Red Devil from Nvidia, and I have to say, I’m really happy with my choice! FSR 4.0 is looking promising, and as it improves, it could really give Nvidia's DLSS a run for its money. Plus, the value per dollar is fantastic! If you ever think about upgrading to 4K later, this card handles 4K pretty well too.
Thanks for sharing! I've been exploring ray tracing games, but I think I might just turn that off if I need to. Do you think I'd still get decent performance in 1440p titles?
