Which GPU Should I Choose: RTX 3050 6GB or RX 6600 8GB?

I'm looking to upgrade my GPU to pair with my Ryzen 5 5600X. I already own this CPU, but I'm on a budget. I'm trying to decide between the RTX 3050 and the RX 6600. I've heard mixed reviews about the 3050, and I'm concerned that it might not perform well based on what influencers have said. I primarily want to play Fortnite and do some streaming. Both cards are around 300 AUD new and 220 to 250 AUD used. So, which option would be better for my needs?

I think the RX 6600 is the way to go here. The 6GB of VRAM on the 3050 can be limiting, especially for your streaming and gaming needs. If you're not in a huge rush, it might be worth waiting until you can stretch your budget; that way, you’ll have more options down the line. But honestly, if you can get a good used RX 6600, that would give you much better performance! And if you want to check out some benchmarks, there's a solid video on YouTube that goes into the details.

That's a good point! I've also been considering the performance differences. Do you think the 3050 would have any streaming advantages aside from the VRAM? I get that the 6600 seems like a clear choice, but I'm curious if I could make the 3050 work.
