I'm trying to decide between the RTX 5070 and RX 9070 since they're priced similarly in my area, around $600-650 or €500-550. My gaming mostly revolves around titles like Monster Hunter Wilds, R6, Helldivers, and single-player games such as Resident Evil and Cyberpunk. I'm really looking for advice on which card would offer the best performance for these games.

It really depends on the games you plan to play. For titles like Cyberpunk and RE, I'd suggest the RTX 5070 since it performs better with those games thanks to its superior ray tracing capabilities.
In the end, they're pretty much in the same league. I chose the RX 9070 for its base performance and extra VRAM, which might give you a better experience overall. But if you have a preference for NVIDIA's features, then the 5070 is for you.
If sheer performance is what you're after, then the RX 9070 is the way to go. I had to choose between the two, and I went with the 5070 mainly because I wanted to take advantage of DLSS and frame generation features. But if those aren't must-haves for you, the 9070 is likely the better choice.
For the games you're into, I'd definitely lean towards the RX 9070. Games like Cyberpunk and Monster Hunter Wilds perform exceptionally well on AMD cards. You also get solid raster performance without that NVIDIA price hike. While DLSS is nice, FSR has caught up enough that it shouldn't be a deal breaker for you.
