I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card from a 2070 Super, and I'm stuck between the RX 9070 and the RTX 5070. I'm playing at 1080p with low ray tracing, and I'm not really interested in frame generation, just some light upscaling. The RX 9070 is about $20 cheaper where I live but I'm unsure about its lack of DLSS and the upcoming FSR 5 support, which will only be available on future RDNA 5 cards. After seeing some DLSS 5 demos, I've started to reconsider my options. What do you think I should go for?

If you're looking for extra features, Nvidia is the way to go. But if you prioritize value and raw power, the RX 9070 is definitely a solid choice. The 16GB of VRAM is great for longevity!
I'd say go for the RX 9070! It's cheaper and comes with more VRAM, which is a bonus for future-proofing your setup.
Don't let the FSR 5 rumors sway your decision. It's still a while away and we don’t really know how it will impact gaming. It might just be a gimmick.
I'm not saying you should go for the 5070, but DLSS 4.0 and 4.5 have surpassed FSR 4 already. I’m curious why you’re leaning towards the 9070 based on that.
If you're not into Nvidia's features, the RX 9070 makes more sense, especially since it's cheaper. I’d actually recommend checking out the 9070 XT if it's within your budget. If the price difference is under $100, it might be worth considering.

Thanks for the tip! More VRAM sounds appealing.
