Which GPU Should I Choose: Used 6800 XT or New 9060 XT?

I'm currently using a 6500 XT with 4GB of VRAM and haven't had the chance to play on a high VRAM card. I plan to upgrade my system in stages, eventually moving to AM5 and aiming for 1440p gaming. Right now, I'm considering a used 6800 XT for about $375 or a brand new 9060 XT for around $425, but I'm also seeing a 6700 XT for $276 used and a 3060 for about $286. Those are my options due to availability here in the Philippines. What do you think I should go for?

I'd lean towards the 9060 XT since it's new, which means you'll get a warranty and better support for features like FSR4. The extra $50 seems worth it for peace of mind.

Exactly! Plus, with a new card, you'll likely get better performance over time with driver updates.

Honestly, the 6800 XT is a bit quicker, but being an older model means you might miss out on some newer features down the line. If you're primarily focused on performance now, it could be a solid choice, especially for 1440p.

That's a fair point, but driver support is essential too—something to consider!

If you’re planning to stick with 1440p for a while, maybe think about the 6700 XT. It's cheaper, but keep in mind it might start showing its age sooner than you'd like at that resolution.
