Which GPU Should I Upgrade To?

Hey everyone! I'm in the market for a GPU upgrade and could really use your input. Currently, I've got a GTX 1060, but with my wife taking over the PS5, I've been leaning more towards gaming on my PC lately. I'm prioritizing smooth gameplay over maxed-out graphics settings.

Here's a quick rundown of my system:
- Ryzen 7 5800X
- ASUS TUF B450-PLUS II
- 32GB DDR4 RAM (16x2) at 3000 MHz (with XMP enabled)
- 1TB NVMe SSD (970EVO)
- 750W PSU (Vinga) - a mid-range Ukrainian brand
- Currently using a 2K 60 Hz monitor (may upgrade down the line)
- Planning to replace my GTX 1060 3GB.

I'm considering these GPUs:
1. RX 9070 16GB
2. RX 9060 XT 16GB

My key questions are:
- Which GPU will provide a smoother experience (less stuttering and better 1% lows)?
- Will the RX 5070 cause any bottlenecks?
- Is having DDR4 3000 a limiting factor for either card?
- Will there be a noticeable difference between the RX 9060 XT and 9070 given my CPU?

I'd appreciate any real-world insights or benchmarks to help me choose the best option without breaking the bank!

I'd say the RX 9070 is definitely the way to go if your budget allows. There might be a slight CPU bottleneck, but overall, it offers better performance and will be more future-proof as you consider upgrades.

Thanks for reinforcing that! It sounds like the RX 9070 will really be worth the investment.

For reliable benchmarks and reviews, I recommend checking out Hardware Unboxed and Gamers Nexus. Based on your current setup, you shouldn’t worry too much about bottlenecking; your 3000 MHz RAM is adequate for both GPU options.
