I'm trying to decide between a Zotac RTX 5070 and a PowerColor RX 7800 XT. The RTX 5070 is $133 more expensive than the RX 7800 XT available near me. Can anyone help me figure out which one is the better choice?

Definitely go for the RX 7800 XT! I use mine for 4K gaming and it handles it pretty well. At that resolution, FSR 3 works decently enough. Plus, at 1440p, it's a fantastic option for the price-to-performance ratio. I wouldn't pay extra for less VRAM, even if the DLSS tech is superior.
Why not consider the 4070 Ti Super instead? The 5070 doesn't seem worth it at this point.
If you’re just into gaming, I’d say go for the AMD RX 7800 XT. It's a solid performer for gaming tasks.
The RTX 5070 is technically the stronger card, but both are a bit overpriced right now. If you can, try to grab the 5070 at MSRP, or look at the 9070 XT for a better deal. Honestly, the 7800 XT isn’t worth it at the higher price since it struggles with ray tracing and quality upscaling with FSR 3 looks subpar.
It's a close call! Just to give you a reference, how much is the RX 7800 XT priced at?
It's listed at $539.
The RTX 5070 is generally considered the better card, but the RX 7800 XT has 16GB of VRAM compared to the 12GB on the 5070. Performance-wise, they’re quite similar, but keep in mind the RX 7800 XT has FSR 3, which doesn’t perform as well as DLSS 4 on the 5070. If the one you're looking at is a PowerColor Hellhound, that's a solid choice, though honestly, both cards are decent options.
If gaming is your main concern, definitely go for the AMD card!
