I'm trying to pick the right Intel CPU for my setup and could use some advice. I've already got a TUF B760-M DDR5 motherboard, which I grabbed at a great price, even though it limits my options a bit. I'm considering these CPUs in my budget: i5-13400F, i5-14400F, i5-12600KF, and i5-14600KF, starting from the cheapest to the most expensive. My main concerns are stability and performance. I want to ensure my CPU won't crash soon after buying it, and I'm also open to tips on how to keep it stable in the long run.

I have the 12600K, and it's been fantastic! I've seen great performance while gaming, and it doesn't get too hot. It's a little less capable than the i7 or i9 for multitasking, but it still holds up well for most tasks. If you're into overclocking, go for the 'K' or 'KF' models as they overclock better, but if that’s not your thing, you can stick to non-K versions. The differences in performance between the generations are minor—around 5% in most cases—so I'd suggest looking at the 12600K/KF or even the 13600K/KF if you're willing to stretch your budget.
Good point about integrated graphics! It's always safer.
I'd recommend avoiding the 14th gen chips, especially if you're worried about stability. Just a heads-up, those CPUs with an 'F' suffix lack integrated graphics, which is why they’re cheaper. But for your needs, the 13400 or 12600 are solid choices!
That's good to know! I was wondering why those were so much cheaper.
The F models save a bit of cash, but it’s handy to have integrated graphics if something goes wrong.
I would lean towards the i5-14400F. While there are some stability issues with the 14th gen overall, they're mostly affecting the higher-end i7 and i9 models. The 14400F could be a great fit without breaking the bank.
Sounds like the 12600K could be the way to go then!
