I'm not really a gamer on either PC or console, but I'm looking for the best performance and gaming experience. I found an i5 2400 with an RX580 8GB for $70, but I'm also considering an Xbox One X for around $90. What would give me the best price-to-performance ratio? Any insights would be appreciated!

The Xbox is a solid choice, especially if you want to play older games. Just keep in mind that it won’t support many new releases since it’s an older generation.
Definitely pick the PC! If you're tight on cash for a console, how are you going to buy games? With a PC, you've got access to tons of free games, and those Steam sales are unbeatable. Plus, you can use the PC for more than just gaming!
Honestly, I'd say go for the Xbox unless you're okay with Linux. The i5 2400 is pretty old, and Windows 11 doesn't support it well. But if you just want casual gaming and don't care about the OS, the Xbox might be your best bet.
I don't really care about my operating system either. I use Windows 11 with that CPU and haven't had any issues so far.
It really depends on the games you're interested in. If you're set up at a desk with a monitor, then a PC makes more sense. But if you prefer playing on the couch with a TV, the Xbox could be better.
I have a keyboard, mouse, and monitor, so maybe the PC is the way to go. Just worried about potential bottlenecks.
If your budget is tight and buying games is a worry, check out Game Pass for Xbox. You might find that it offers a better overall gaming experience with a wider range of titles.
But isn’t the RX 580 kind of too powerful for the i5 2400?
