I'm considering upgrading my gaming rig and I'm torn between the 5070 Ti and the 7800X3D graphics cards. Most of the games I play, like Rust, seem to demand more from the CPU than the GPU. Given this, which one would be a better fit for improving my gaming experience?

Go with the best GPU unless you're strictly playing competitive 1080p games. If you're slightly above that tier, the 5070 Ti is a better choice for performance. And don’t stress too much—most players find a 7800X3D suitable even for FPS-heavy titles!
If you're playing at 1080p, the second option is probably best. While the 9800X3D is technically better, for most gaming situations, especially CPU-bound ones like Rust, the 7800X3D paired with a strong GPU like the 5070 Ti will work wonders. Just remember, unless your games are heavily CPU-intensive, the GPU is where you'll want to invest more for better experiences.
Thanks for the insight!
A lot depends on your resolution. At 1080p with high graphics, you might feel bottlenecked by your GPU after a while, especially in big fights like in Rust. Most people recommend the 5070 Ti for its better overall performance, but the price point can be a bummer depending on where you live. Just evaluate your main goals: do you want higher FPS or better graphics?
I'm in Turkiye and it’s pretty much double the price here compared to the EU. My main goal is to keep FPS up while in big bases. Thanks for the help!
Definitely go for the 7800X3D paired with the 5070 Ti. It's a solid combo, especially since the 7800X3D handles CPU-heavy games really well, while the 5070 Ti offers great power for your GPU needs. Trust me, you'll enjoy the performance boost!
Easy peasy lemon squeazy!
I use this setup and I'm really happy with it.
Well, actually, I'm exactly in that situation—playing at 1080p with a 280Hz screen. I'm leaning towards the second option, but it's a tough call.
