I'm currently using an ASUS Z-370P motherboard with an i7-8700k and a GTX 3070. It's good for gaming, but I only have 16GB of RAM (2x8GB). I purchased a 64GB RAM kit (2x32GB), thinking that my motherboard supported it, but I learned that it only works with dual-channel setups with four sticks (4x16GB). Now, I've got this RAM and would prefer to upgrade my motherboard instead of returning it. Can anyone recommend LGA1151 motherboards that can accommodate this setup?

I’ve seen some reports of Z370 boards working with 128GB of RAM, so you might not be out of luck if your BIOS is up to date. If you’re still having boot issues with your RAM sticks, it could be worth checking the kit compatibility or the BIOS settings. What exactly happens when you try to boot with both sticks?

You should be able to use 2x32GB sticks on your board! Some folks have done it with Z370 boards, especially after BIOS updates or modifications. What specific RAM kit did you get? Just so you know, both 2x32GB and 4x16GB configurations run in dual channel, so don't worry about that misunderstanding. What issues are you running into?
