I'm looking to ditch Windows 11 and dive into the world of Linux. Here are my specs: Ryzen 5 5600, DDR4 16GB 3600, and RTX 3060 TI. I'm searching for a distro that provides stability so I don't constantly have to fix issues and a desktop environment that feels somewhat similar to Windows. I'm into gaming—both old and new games—and I want to ensure I can run Windows games, ideally while being able to transfer save files over from Windows. I also need up-to-date drivers and the ability to run emulation programs like Bluestacks without too much hassle. I feel like Linux Mint or Fedora might be my best bets, but they each have their pros and cons. Can I really get all my needs met with these options?

I suggest checking out Kubuntu 24.04 LTS! It’s stable, has a familiar desktop thanks to KDE, and supports gaming well—both native Linux titles and Windows games using Proton/Wine. Plus, LTS means long-term support and predictable updates. You just need to add a repository for the latest drivers, which is simple. This gives you a good balance between stability and new features.
If you need up-to-date drivers, Fedora might be your best choice since it has fresher packages. Mint is good for stability, but you'll miss out on the latest software updates. If you're looking for gaming compatibility and want more control over your distros, think about Fedora. Just be prepared for a bit more troubleshooting with it.

Thanks for the command tip! That'll save me some time setting it up.
