I'm switching from Windows because I'm tired of constant updates and the hassle of dealing with changes that break my setup. I've heard that both Unity and Unreal Engine work well on Linux, but I need help deciding which distribution to go with. Some say Pop!_OS is great for productivity, while others recommend Ubuntu for its stability. I like to tinker with things, but I also want a distro that stays functional without constant manual adjustments. I really dislike when my PC suddenly has issues due to automatic updates. Currently, I have a Ryzen 7600 with a 7800 XT and 32GB of DDR5 RAM. I'm planning to keep Windows on a dual boot for gaming, especially for Apex Legends, but I'm hoping to transition fully to Linux for my everyday tasks. As a student, I do some game development and have been using Visual Studio, but I'm open to switching to something else since I don't utilize most of its features.

I'd suggest trying out Linux Mint. It's known for being user-friendly and has a familiar interface which makes it easier to adapt to Linux. You won’t get thrown off by significant changes while you learn the ropes. If you find you like Linux after a year, you can consider exploring other distros then!

Thanks for the suggestion! I was leaning towards Ubuntu, but I'll check out Mint. I’ve heard good things about it, and I saw Linus featured it in one of his videos.
